While it can seem like paying off your mortgage and educating your children is all you have to do, there is still more. What’s your plan for retirement or it is still a long way off? It may be 10 years away or more, but look how fast you got to this age. If I could get a shilling for every time I heard “Life happened in the blink of an eye!” when people speaking of ageing, I would be rich. Now is the time. It’s never too early to set you and your family up with financial security and prepare yourself for retirement.

Sweetened Hydration

A good mechanic will always recommend additional products to use for your vehicle to boost its performance. Fueling your car alone is not enough. You must introduce lubricants like engine oil and other additives for optimum engine performance like Octane Booster. Just like the vehicle, your body needs additional sources of hydration that contain substances that will improve your performance.

Whether you are on the tracks competing or practicing, your main concern as an athlete is to remain appropriately hydrated, with water being the frequently used substance. However, is water the only source of hydration?

Irresistible? Impulse Control Disorders and Addictive Disorders (Part 2)

We pick up from our last article on impulse control and addiction disorders. In this article we shall highlight more on addictive disorders.

Addiction

Addiction describes the situation in which someone engages repetitively in a behavior that is negative and may also often lead to ill health impacts. The cycle of addiction may be caused by dysfunction in the brain which may be linked to genetic and environmental factors. Genetic factors may be difficult to control but environmental factors can be controlled. These controllable factors especially among Sports Personalities may have to do with training on handling fame, pressure to perform, and sudden financial windfalls from winning among others.

Training Combination – It’s More About the Life You Gain

I like to reference training as a deposit into longevity. More so, functional longevity that maintains our natural bodily movement into old age if/when we are so blessed. I mean, we all want to maintain the decency of using the bathroom without calling for help, no?

Our bodies do not operate in an isolation fashion. Case in point, when you bend down to pick or lift something, your entire body functions as a team. As we age, we experience an involuntary loss of muscle mass, strength and function. Bones become more brittle.

But then what do we find in most commercial gyms?
